That's it. The Isle of Arts Festival 2010 poster competition closed on 11th December. It's all done bar the shouting. The Isle of Arts board have since spent their weekend working through the entries and a winner has eventually been selected. There were some great designs from a broad range of experience levels.
We have notified the winner and will be working together with them to design the finished poster over the coming weeks. Once the poster is designed it will not only be appearing around the Island, but limited edition prints will be available to buy. Proceeds will help finance the festival, which is a not for profit venture and will help us to promote arts and artists right here on the Isle of Wight.
We will be making a press announcement immediately following the Christmas season and will be presenting our winner. The winning entry and the runners up will be posted on this page for you to argue the merits of, once the press release is out, which we currently expect to be at the beginning of January 2010.
If you wanted to enter this years poster competition but didn't get time, or if you entered but without success, be sure to check the competition next year when we will be back doing it all again.
